galerie gugging is an internationally established gallery with its core competency Art Brut, defined by Jean Dubuffet as an autodidact’s unspoiled, crude form of art. Since 1994, it has exhibited works by Gugging Artists in cooperation with accredited galleries and museums. Since 2009, it also features works by other artists from Austria and abroad.

The gallery has a special exhibition room and a space where works by Gugging Artists are on show in perpetual alternation around the year. Here are early compositions from the 60ies and 70ies alongside contemporary pieces – products of the Artists’ continual creative flow. We dedicate special exhibitions to single artists or themes and vary them two to three times a year. To date, we have exhibited Art Brut from America, Japan, Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland.

Thanks to our longstanding exhibition practice, we enjoy excellent international connections and consider ourselves partners of artists, galleries and museums. We competently assist clients, collectors, and interested parties catering for their individual needs and requirements. We offer competent advice on purchasing art and building collections; our services include assessments, framing, conservation, delivery, and montage. We are also interested in acquiring new pieces.
